And still busy between Christmas and New Year

January 1, 2012

Nothing much happened since I wrote last about one week ago. No real traffic to the site and no real donations, except from a friend of ours who kind of had been pushed by my partner as I presume.

I don't give up easily but this is not the start as I expected. Many people point to 'the Red Cross is helping' and 'Governments and other large institutions are giving money'. Of course I know there is help and of course that is a good thing, but it is very impersonal to me and I doubt if in the long run that help will be sufficient for the individuals and individual families who lost everything.

And of course I also realize even for me now and the last week the 'suffering' has been far from me. I've just been celebrating Christmas Holidays and New Year's Eve. I did not even find the time to write here or visit the affected areas or even a friend who told me a close friend of her was staying with her because they also were affected by the flood.

Anyhow, I won't give up easily and I want to make things personal, so I guess I'll keep pushing this site and it's also time to create some time to visit the areas or people I know who have been affected by the flooding.

Please note I just wanted to do something short term, so this site is a work in progress.
